Jim Kyndberg has left his post at the helm of the Crave restaurant empire (also responsible for such gems as the 'Hipster Doofuses' wanted ad for Urban Eatery), reports Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl at Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. He's headed to the downtown Minneapolis Radisson—which is about to get a $30 million face-lift—where he will replace Paul Lynch at Fire Lake. Lynch moves from one Radisson dining establishment to another, taking the reins of the currently under-construction Radisson Blu Restaurant at the Mall of America.
Kyndberg's parting with Crave was apparently amicable, which is a good thing since Union—the latest addition to the Crave pantheon—is slated to open just one block down Hennepin from Fire Lake. Union, headed by Jim Christiansen (of La Belle Vie and Sea Change), is set to open early this month.
