Over Thanksgiving weekend, Sameh Wadi opened World Street Kitchen, the brick-and-mortar version of his popular food truck. The fast-casual restaurant—located in the new Greenleaf Apartments in Uptown—will feature several of the truck's renowned items, including the Yum Yum Bowl and the Bangkok Burrito. Also on the menu: a shrimp po'boy sandwich, salted caramel soft-serve ice cream, and the MFC—a Moroccan Fried Chicken Sandwich (a buttermilk biscuit with fried chicken that has been marinated in North African spices, topped with carrot salad and preserved lemon). Wadi also owns Middle Eastern restaurant Saffron Restaurant & Lounge in downtown Minneapolis with his brother, Saed Wadi.

World Street Kitchen is open every day from 11 a.m. to midnight.
