For months upon months, the construction at Burch—one of the Twin Cities' most anticipated openings of the year—has been hidden behind plywood walls. Located in the former Burch Pharmacy building at Hennepin and Franklin in Uptown, the modern steakhouse is the latest project from Isaac Becker and Nancy St. Pierre, otherwise known as the husband-and-wife team behind 112 Eatery and Bar la Grassa. They gutted the old Burch Pharmacy months ago—while it was still warm in the Cities, if such a thing even seems possible—but then the plywood walls went up, hiding all progress from view.
Now the plywood wall is down, giving any and all passersby a chance to peer in. Here's a look at the space as of this morning. More updates to come between now and the planned February opening.
