St. Paul's visitors and convention bureau Visit St. Paul has teamed up with some of the city's bars for Tuesday Brewsday, offering a free draft beer to federal employees who are furloughed by the government shutdown every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (with government ID). The program has been so successful that the number of participating bars has doubled, and they've also upgraded from free Miller Light to free Summit Saga. Current participants include Alary's, American Burger Bar, Bennett's Chop and Railhouse, Burger Moe's, Cherokee Tavern, Eagle Street Grille, The Liffey, and Tom Reid's. [City Pages]
