The Bachelor Farmer Goes 80s, Haute Dish HalloWEEN Tasting Menu, and More

Looking for something to do this Halloween? Here are five spooky dining events going on around the Twin Cities:

TBFHallowen.jpg1) The Bachelor Farmer and Marvel Bar Go 80s
When: Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight
Where: The Bachelor Farmer/Marvel Bar
What: The 80s are coming to The Bachelor Farmer and Marvel Bar for Halloween. The night of Halloween, TBF will be drawing inspiration from Dorsia, the fictional restaurant in American Psycho. Marvel Bar takes a page from the Tom Cruise flick, Cocktail. A few reservations for dinner at TBF are still available on the early and late side; there are also limited walk ins and MB is first come, first served as always. hautedishhalloween.jpg2) Haute Dish HalloWEEN
When: Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m.
Where: Haute Dish
What: Haute Dish is serving up a Halloween and Ween (the band) inspired five-course tasting menu on Thursday and possibly Friday. Menu items include Pork Roll Egg and Cheese and Bananas and Blow. (The dish names will likely only resonate with fans of Ween.) Menu and more information can be found here.


ASIHalloween.jpg3) Cocktails at the Castle: Loki's Halloween Bash
When: Thursday, 7 to 11 p.m.
Where: American Swedish Institute
What: ASI's popular Cocktails at the Castle series is back for Halloween. You'll find fall food and specialty cocktails by FIKA, make your own masks, live music, fortune telling, photo booth, and so much more. Costumes are strongly encouraged. ESSHalloween.jpg4) Eat Street Social Costume Contest
When: Thursday, 9 to 11 p.m.
Where: Eat Street Social
What: Eat Street Social invites you to stop by for craft cocktails and a costume contest. The strange and unusual are not only welcomed but strongly encouraged. The prize? $100 gift certificates for best male and best female costumes. Judging provided by the staff of Eat Street Social. Check out ESS's website for details.

When: Thursday, 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Where: Stanley's Northeast Bar Room
What: Head to Stanley's for the Halloween Surly Darkness Party. There will be flights of Darkness 2011, 2012 and 2013 until they're gone. Wear your Surly gear or Halloween costume and receive a raffle ticket to win a 2012 bomber of Darkness or other prizes. Karaoke starts at 9:30pm. harriethallowen.jpgAlso of Note: Harriet Brewing is throwing a Halloween Bash with a tapping of their one-year barrel aged Sour Divine Oculust, live music, Potter's Pasties, and more (Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m.). Famous Dave's BBQ and Blues Club is having a Halloween Bash and costume party with live music, costumes, tricks, and treats (Thursday, 8 to 11 p.m.). The Soap Factory's Haunted Basement may be sold out, but you can still stop in at its Spooky Speakeasy for cocktails and music (Thursday, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.). Looking for some family fun? Hit up MIA for their Trick-Art-Treating event (Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m.).
