Tin Whiskers Brewing has purchased space in the Rossmor building, according to co-founder George Kellerman. The brewery, founded by three electrical engineers—Jake Johnson, Jeff Moriarty, and Kellerman—has been brewing test batches for the last few years out of Moriarty's house in Roseville. They were voted Best Brew for their Wheatstone Bridge Ale at the Stillwater Brewer's Bazaar back in May, where they made their first public appearance.
Tin Whiskers plans to have a taproom-focused microbrewery and has a few tricks up their sleeves to provide a lot of variety to customers. Kellerman states that he doesn't have too much information for the public right now, but in the upcoming months they should expect a lot more details to emerge through their website and on social media.
The Rossmor, located at 500 North Robert Street in downtown St. Paul, is also home to street-level businesses Key's Cafe, Black Sheep Pizza, and Sawatdee. The 3,700 square foot taproom is projected to open in late spring of 2014.
