1) Harriet Brasserie and Artisian Imports Beer Dinner
When: Wednesday, 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Where: Harriet Brasserie
What: The Harriet Brasserie and Artisanal Imports team up for a beer dinner with 6 award winning beers from around the world, paired with internationally inspired dishes from Chef Fernando and team. 2) Blackbird Cafe Sake Tasting
When: Monday, 5 to 7 p.m.
Where: Blackbird Cafe
What: The Southwest Mpls cafe is holding a sake tasting event. Guests will get to sample sakes and meet sixth generation president Tsuyoshi Nakao of the Nakao Brewery in Japan. The entry price includes sake tasting and snack buffet. Reservations are recommend and details can be found here.
3) Tonka Brewfest
When: Saturday, 3 to 6 p.m.
Where: Gale Woods Farm
What: Head out to Gale Woods Farms in Minnetrista for the First Annual Tonka Brew Fest. Breweries sampling include Fulton Brewing, Lake Superior Brewing, Indeed Brewing, Lucid Brewing and more. Cost is $40 and includes beer tasting, food, and live music. More information can be found here.
4) Summit Biere De Garde Release Party
When: Friday, 4 to 7 p.m.
Where: Memory Lanes Flashback Cafe and Cocktail Lounge
What: Summit Brewing Company is having a release party for the next beer in their Unchained series, the Biere De Garde. Meet the brewer, sample beer, and knock some pins down while noshing on happy hour appetizers. Details of the event can be found here.
5) Locavore Serenade
When: Sunday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Chowgirls Parlor
What: Locavore Serenade continues with another installment this Sunday at the Chowgirls Parlor in NE Minneapolis. Guests will dine on a three-course, Swedish-Jewish themed menu and then listen to live music from Adam Levy (of whom the dinner is inspired). Menu and ticket information can be found here.
Also of Note: Flat Earth Brewing Co's Porterfest is back and it kicks off on Monday at Gabe's with Grand Design S'mores infused porter (5 p.m). The 6th Annual Cache at Casket Arts is going on all weekend with arts and crafts, Surly beer and food trucks (Friday through Sunday). Butcher and The Boar is having a release party for Alaskan Brewing's Smoked Porter (Friday, 4 to 7 p.m.). StoutFest VI is taking place at Blue Nile Restaurant & Lounge (Saturday, 4 p.m.).
