Yesterday, The Mill Northeast quietly opened its doors in, where else, Northeast. The restaurant is a re-launch—new location, new name—of the Mill City Cafe, which closed in May of 2012. The restaurant is serving brunch every day, with dishes like Ecuadorian baked eggs (spiced black beans, fried eggs, cilantro, Monterey Jack, sour cream, roasted potatoes, house salsa) and braised beef hash. Dinner features appetizers like octopus confit, lamb riblets, and smoked pork crepes. There's also a happy hour menu with $5 plates and drink specials, and a nice selection of craft cocktails available all day.

The Mill Northeast opens at 10 a.m. every day. It closes at 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, at midnight on Friday and Saturday, and at 9 p.m. on Sunday and Monday.
