The final countdown has begun for the opening of the Smack Shack brick n' mortar, set for this Friday at 5 p.m. In the meantime, here's a look at the finished space, complete with checkered tablecloths, walls of pickles (and lobster art), and lobster net lamps. There's even a little bit of the 1029 Club—up until this point, the lobster truck's only brick n' mortar home—in the form of some low-key betting options (a wheel and pull tabs). The almost-8,000 square foot space seats 200 between the main dining room space and the front bar.
Smack Shack will initially be open for dinner only, seven days a week, and will eventually be adding lunch service. They'll be serving dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with the late night bar menu available from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday, dinner is served 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the late night menu from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sundays, dinner is served 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., late night until 11 p.m. It will probably be walk-in only for the first few weeks, though there will eventually be a reservation system.
