What's Next for the Smack Shack Truck and the 1029 Bar

New, 2 comments

Now that Smack Shack has got an almost-8,000 square foot home in the North Loop, you'll be able to get a lobster roll—and a whole lot more—without having to track the food truck or sit under a ceiling full of hanging bras But Smack Shack isn't abandoning its first homes—the mobile food truck and the kitchen at the 1029 Bar. For now, they'll continue serving the same menu at the 1029, though an update may be in the near future. The truck will probably no longer be roaming the streets every day, but it will still come out on key days (Friday lunch, perhaps?) and for some events. Mostly, the truck will be available for special events and catering.

And for those who want the full menu but miss the 1029, Smack Shack has brought a little bit of the bar's flavor to the restaurant, in the form of pull-tabs (including a custom Smack Shack pull-tab) and a tri-wheel in the main bar area.
