Calhoun Square's Primebar—which opened last summer in the ground-floor space at Hennepin and Lake —abruptly closed its doors for good last night. According to City Pages, a tipster emailed the Hot Dish blog and said that the restaurant received notice that they were being evicted from the space at about 9 pm and asked all the patrons to pay their checks and leave. The restaurant has not commented on whether the eviction story is true, but they did post confirmation of the shutter on their Facebook page this morning.
No word yet on what will be next in the revolving-door space, which has previously been home to now-shuttered (or relocated) restaurants such as Figlio and Il Gatto.
