Scott Pampuch Starts New Gig at U of M Dining Services

In a somewhat surprising move, Scott Pampuch—founder of local, seasonal Kingfield restaurant Corner Table—has taken a new gig with University Dining Services/ARAMARK as the district executive chef for the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Pampuch announced the new position on his blog, where he said: "ARAMARK Higher Education is full of opportunities for chefs like myself to grow and learn. Especially at the University of Minnesota, there are endless possibilities." Does that mean diners have to go back to college to eat Pampuch's cooking? Is ARAMARK the next hot trend in dining? So many questions.

Pampuch left Corner Table for Milwaukee's Iron Horse Hotel last summer, but parted ways with the Iron Horse in February of this year.
