New Restaurant, Lake & Irving, Coming to Uptown

A new restaurant, Lake and Irving, is slated to move into the former Blue Sky Creamery space on Lake Street, according to Southwest Journal. Run by a pair of brothers, Chris and Andrew Ikeda, Lake and Irving will be a chef-driven neighborhood restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Both brothers are University of St. Thomas grads, and then trained at the Culinary Institute of America—Chris in Hyde Park, New York, and Andrew in Napa, California. Chris has spent the past seven years working at a restaurant at one of the Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii; Andrew has previously worked at Robert Mondavi Winery.

The 88-seat restaurant will include a full bar and an open kitchen; they will also be removing the building's brick facade and refacing the exterior. They're hoping to be open by August or September.
