Since temporarily shuttering Travail on April 6th, the restaurant's team of chefs and co-owners—Bob Gerken, James Winberg, and Mike Brown—have been working around the clock to remodel and reopen the old Travail space as their new pizza and charcuterie spot, Pig Ate My Pizza. And according to a recent comment on their Facebook page, they're hoping to open to the public this Friday, so it won't be too much longer until housemade charcuterie-laden pizza comes to Robbinsdale.
In the meantime, Eater Minneapolis sent photographer Katie Cannon to shoot the remodeled space. And it's a real beauty—airy and light, with pink (as in pig) walls and linens set against the wood furniture, paneling, and floor. If you look carefully, you might even spot some stuffed pigs and pig figurines perched up high in the corner. Take a tour.
