Butcher & the Boar Pastry Chef Opening Pop-Up Bakery

The Butcher & the Boar's pastry chef, Sarah Botcher, has opened a new pop-up/farmer's market bakery, Black Walnut Bakery. Botcher—who worked at famed San Francisco bakery Tartine before coming to Minneapolis—is planning various pop-ups at local restaurants and bakeries. Starting tomorrow, Black Walnut Bakery will be at the Nicollet Farmer's Market every Thursday (and some Fridays), selling goods like Valrhona chocolate chip cookies, gingersnap banana pudding, black walnut buckwheat bread, and Alsatian-style stuffed buns (filled with pork, caramelized onions, herbs, and cheese).
