French Meadow's Wine Bar, Bluestem, Opening Next Week

After originally shooting for a January opening, Uptown bakery and café French Meadow will be opening its wine (and beer) bar next week. The bar space, located at the side of the current café, will have a separate entrance off of Lyndale. The bar will be named Bluestem Bar and Table, after the "dominant native grass species of the Midwestern tallgrass prairie," according to the pamphlet in the restaurant. (And here we thought it just sounded nice.) Bluestem will serve small plates in addition to wine and craft beer.
