Bar La Grassa's head chef, Erik Sather, will be leaving the restaurant on June 24, reports Rick Nelson at the Star Tribune. Sather has been with the acclaimed North Loop restaurant since James Beard Award-winning chef Isaac Becker (who also owns 112 Eatery and Burch with his wife, Nancy St. Pierre) opened it in the fall of 2009. Sather and his wife are expecting a baby, Becker told Nelson, and thought that a weekday day job would be more conducive to starting a family; Sather will become the Seward Co-op's meat and seafood manager.
Longtime sous chef Aaron Slavicek will become Bar La Grassa's new head chef.
