Mr. McGeasil Brewing Likely Coming to Lowertown

A new craft brewery, Mr. McGeasil Brewing, is likely coming to Lowertown in the next few months, reports the Pioneer Press. It will occupy three floors in the MarketHouse building across from the future Saints ballpark in downtown St. Paul, said co-founder William Sweasy. The brewery will house a taproom, coffee house, and food can be brought in from fellow tenant, Heartland Restaurant. According to the Pioneer Press, Sweasy and his two partners will be brewing what they call "nutritional beers" in addition to more traditional brews. For example, one beer could include flax seed for its beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids.

The plan is to close on the space sometime this month and begin building the brewery shortly thereafter with beer available sometime in February.
