The long awaited Minneapolis location of Izzy's Ice Cream has officially opened at 11 a.m. today. Located next to the Guthrie Theater and Gold Medal Park, the ice cream shop isn't completely finished, but is open for buisness. Owner Jeff Sommers told The Journal Mpls, "We will open, but we will not be done. We'll basically have two dipping cabinets and a card table. So it won't be a complete and perfect opening, but it's intended to be a soft opening."

Izzy's is open Sunday to Thursday: 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
