Kaskaid Hospitality Group has finally announced the name for its new Uptown restaurant—Boneyard—as well as the concept—Southern comfort food. After purchasing the former Old Chicago space on Hennepin Ave. at the end of June, Kaskaid (which also owns Union, Uptown Urban Eatery, the new Figlio, and the entire Crave empire) started a contest to name the new restaurant; at that point, the only plans were for contemporary American cuisine and craft beers.

According to City Pages, they narrowed the naming entries down to three options: Henn Haus, Hen House, and Boneyard. Which of these three doesn't belong? And yet, Boneyard emerged victorious. They've also announced that the food will be Southern-inspired. They're planning to open Boneyard in Spring 2014.
