Borough Owners Looking at Opening Uptown Wine Bar/Coffee Shop Near Midtown Greenway

Brent Frederick and Jacob Toledo, the owners of North Loop restaurant/bar duo Borough and Parlour, have proposed a wine bar/coffee shop/bakery for the lobby space of the new Lime Apartments at 2904 Lyndale Ave. S. in Uptown, reports Southwest Journal. According to the article, they are discussing the idea with city and state officials, describing the idea as "a hotel lobby within an apartment complex."

The space would be 2,000-3,000 feet, featuring a patio on the Midtown Greenway. In the morning, it would serve coffee and pastries; at lunch, soup and salads; and turn into a wine bar at dinnertime. According to Southwest Journal, licensing discussions are underway. In the meantime, Frederick and Toledo have their hands full with another Uptown apartment development, the much-anticipated Coup d'Etat, opening on January 20 in the Walkway building.
