Barman Johnny Michaels OUT at La Belle Vie

Longtime barman (and barman about town) Johnny Michaels has left Loring Park's temple of fine dining, La Belle Vie, reports City Pages. Michaels—who also created the drink menus for Icehouse, Union, and Masu—has been at La Belle Vie since 2005.

La Belle Vie's owner and executive chef Tim McKee confirmed to City Pages that Michaels had left. Though he wouldn't elaborate further, he said he would be surprised if they didn't work together again in the future, implying an amicable parting. The same cocktail list will remain in place.
