When: Friday, 7 p.m.
Where: Dangerous Man Brewing Company
What: Saturday's official anniversary party may be sold out but your chance to party isn't over. On Friday, DMBC invites you to celebrate one year of the taproom with a DJ and dancing, Lulu's food truck, and tasty beer. You can also expect some limited edition anniversary t-shirts for purchase. When: Monday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Grand Cafe
What: Grand Cafe has created a tasting menu inspired from the John Keats poem, The Eve of St. Agnes. Aww. You're invited to honor romance with a four course tasting menu and wine paring at the cafe. To find more information and to make reservations, hit up Grand Cafe's webpage here.

When: Saturday, 2 p.m.
Where: Excelsior Brewing Co.
What: Excelsior Brewing invites you to ride in (or watch) the 15-mile fat tire race. After the 2nd annual land and ice race, dance to live music and drink beer in a heated tent. When: Saturday, noon
Where: Dangerous Man Brewing Company
What: Celebrate all weekend at Dangerous Man Brewing Company's taproom. On Saturday, check out the facial hair competition complete with "celebrity" judges, fare from Nate Dog's, and of course, beer. If you think you have what it takes, walk-in competitors may still vie for the title. Details about the event can be found here.

When: Sunday, 1 p.m.
Where: Terzo Vino Bar
What: The south Minneapolis wine bar is offering a wine class this Sunday. The focus will be on northern Italian/Alpine wines with examples from Val d'Aosta, Lombardia, Alto Adige, and Friuli. Fancy. Taste, learn, and then grab some food at any of the Broders' restaurants while you're there. Registration is required and details can be found here.

Shepherd's Way Farms wants you to build your cheesemaking knowledge by taking an Inside Look at Artisan Cheesemaking (Saturday, 1 p.m.). The Muddy Pig kicks off their 6th annual Festival of Hops starting on Tuesday. The U.S. Pond Hockey tournament is back this weekend with food from Famous Dave's, hot cocoa, and well, pond hockey. Lift Bridge promises beer, music, food, and fun at their 2nd annual Silhouette Release Party (Saturday, 3 p.m.). Need an excuse to get to Meritage? They're offering free valet service during customer appreciation week (January 21-26).
