The much-anticipated Uptown restaurant Heyday, the new solo spot from chef Jim Christiansen, appears to be coming along toward a hoped-for February opening. Recently, Christiansen tweeted a couple photos of the interiors including one of the restaurant's cold line (as seen in the photo shown here). Other tweeted photos show the hot line and one of the first pieces of equipment acquired for the kitchen.
The restaurant, located at 27th and Lyndale, comes from Christiansen (formerly of Union) and Lorin Zinter (former front-of-house manager at La Belle Vie). The casual spot will have a dining room and a lounge, a menu of around 20 items (priced $5 to $20), and a full cocktail program highlighting unique liquors.
