James Beard winner Alex Roberts—chef and owner of Restaurant Alma and Brasa Rotisserie—will be expanding Alma's operations by opening a casual café, reports Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl at Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. According to Moskowitz Grumdahl, Roberts bought the building that houses Alma and is planning to open a casual café in the space that housed Dunn Brothers.
The café will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with dishes including some Restaurant Alma favorites like smoked whitefish and chicken liver crostini. The café will also be roasting its own coffee. They are planning to open
this spring or summer in late 2014 or early 2015.
