NORTH LOOP—A new restaurant/bar, The Office Pub and Grill, is coming to 307 Washington Ave. in the North Loop, reports The Journal Mpls. The restaurant, owned by Peter Hafiz and Jason Mohney (owners of The Gay 90s and The Brass Rail), will have 36 varieties of craft beer; the menu will focus on burgers, pizza, and other pub food. The space will seat about 75 people at a bar and sit-down restaurant inside, plus a 44 seat patio outside. According to The Journal, the public hearing for The Office's liquor license was held today. SEWARD—After closing for structural repairs on December 9th, neighborhood favorite Tracy's Saloon & Eatery will reopen on February 15. A press release from the co-owner, Sanjaya Wanduragala, explained that they had originally planned a small renovation (hardwood floors! new furniture!), but the contractor found some major damage to the roof and eastern wall that had to be repaired. ST. PAUL—Rumors have been flying about the fate of St. Paul steak-and-martini institution The Lexington. According to Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, former owner Rick Webb agreed to acquire the property, but said the deal had not been made public yet. Over at City Pages, word seems more decisive that Webb is on board. [Mpls/St. Paul Business Journal, City Pages]
