Craft brewery and small batch distillery Bent Brewstillery announced on Wednesday that they are combining resources with Roseville's brewery and taproom Pour Decisions Brewing Company and merging under the name Bent Brewstillery effective immediately.
Kristen England will continue on in the Head Brewer role at Bent to create the beers, while Bartley Blume will distill the spirits. Bent previously contracted out of Pour Decisions' Roseville brewery and taproom.
Pour Decisions, known for The Pubstitute Scottish ale, made its debut at the 2012 Minnesota State Fair and opened its taproom doors in early 2013. The post-merger beer lineup will consist of traditional PDBC concepts, a large expansion of sour beers, and all new Bent beers along with their line of spirits including UnPure, an un-aged pure malt whiskey, and an unnamed gin soon to follow.
The distillery, taproom expansion, and renovation are planned starting in January 2014 and according to Pour Decisions' Facebook page, the taproom won't be open until the end of February at the earliest at which point they will reopen as Bent Brewstillery.
