Chef JP Samuelson OUT at 6Smith; IN at Red Stag Supperclub

Open only a matter of months, 6Smith's executive chef is leaving the suburbs for Northeast.

At the Friends of James Beard Dinner last night it was announced that JP Samuelson was walking away from Wayzata's 6 Smith to helm the kitchen at Kim Bartmann's Red Stag Supperclub.

Samuelson told Stephanie March of Mpls/St. Paul Magazine, "I'm really excited, I can't wait to get into that restaurant and use some of the great ingredients and purveyors that have a relationship with the place."

Bartmann appeared thrilled with the announcement. Bartmann is the prolific restaurateur who also owns Cafe Barbette, Bryant Lake Bowl, The Third Bird and more restaurants around Minneapolis.

Red Stag Supperclub first opened in November of 2007 as the first LEED certified restaurant in the state of Minnesota. Since then, it has remained committed to serving locally sourced fare.
