The Bachelor Farmer Is Opening a North Loop Coffee Shop

The Dayton brothers den of hipness expands in the North Loop. There's a new sibling lunch spot on the way from The Bachelor Farmer team.

Finlayson Askov is on the move. The retail shop owned by Eric and Andrew Dayton will vacate the space adjoining The Bachelor Farmer and move next door. The room will not stay vacant for long. In addition to a nationally renowned restaurant (The Bachelor Farmer,) the leading cocktail bar in the Twin Cities (Marvel Bar), a gorgeous private party space, Sunday suppers, stunning brunch and a sausage cart there will soon be a cafe.

It will serve grab and go breakfast and lunch options. Pastries will be made by TBF's Khanh Tran. The beverages will be overseen by Pip Hanson. (Little known fact, some of his highly skilled beverage mixers are already trained in the art of a perfect coffee pour. It would seem these folks know all there is about what is good to drink at any time of day.)

In the construction, the private dining room and event space upstairs from The Bachelor Farmer will received its own dedicated kitchen space.

The design will again be done by James Dayton Design. Construction is expected to begin in early 2015.
