Much-anticipated Uptown restaurant Heyday, the new spot from former Union chef Jim Christiansen and former La Belle Vie frontman Lorin Zinter, seems to be moving right along with its renovations. Today, the restaurant's Twitter account, @heydaympls, tweeted a photo of the bar to La Belle Vie's chef de cuisine, Mike DeCamp (@youngchef2), saying: "your spot at the bar looks better all the time."
The restaurant, located at 27th and Lyndale, should be opening soon (though it looks like the hoped-for February opening is unlikely); according to the restaurant's Twitter bio, it's opening "mid-soon". The casual spot will have a dining room and a lounge, a menu of around 20 items (priced $5 to $20), and a full cocktail program highlighting unique liquors.
