New Restaurant, Socialista, Coming to North Loop

A new restaurant, Socialista, will be moving into the North Loop at 730 Washington Ave., next to Borough and Parlour, reports The Journal. Details are scarce, but the two-level restaurant will focus on "fine dining" and include 225 seats (150 seats on the upper level and 75 seats on the lower level). The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner and will also feature live bands and a DJ playing Caribbean music.

Socialista will be managed by Fernando Santa, the former manager of Spasso in Minnetonka. According to the notes from January's meeting of the North Loop Neighborhood Association, Socialista is scheduled to open this month.
