Boasting an extensive all-day breakfast menu (tiramisu pancakes, anyone?), Hen House Eatery quietly opened in downtown Minneapolis yesterday. The breakfast menu also includes dishes like chicken and waffles, smoked salmon benedict, chilaquiles rojos, and a large selection of omelets. The lunch menu focuses on sandwiches and salads, with an entire section devoted to variations on grilled cheese sandwiches (hello, macaroni-and-cheese grilled cheese, with optional bacon and tomatoes). There's also burgers and breakfast cocktails, mostly takes on mimosas, bloody marys, and bellinis.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also note, happy hour runs an epic five hours, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, though it appears from the Hen House Facebook page that happy hour might just mean $1 off select items.
