Rabbit Hole Hot Chicks, Zen Box Craft Dining, & More

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five choice dining and drinking events going on around the Twin Cities:

When: Monday, 4 to 10 p.m.
Where: The Rabbit Hole
What: Hot Chicks is back for a third installment of the friend chicken night at The Rabbit Hole. This time around there's a theme: Midwestern Style. You have until tomorrow (3/28) to enter your recipe in the Midwestern salad contest. Make your reservations, see the menu, and enter the contest here.

When: Sunday, 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Zen Box Izakaya
What: Get your tickets while you can for this night of craft dining at Zen Box. The dining experience consists of a ramen flight, cocktails/beverage pairings from Easy & Oskey, and dessert from Sweet Science Ice Cream. Tickets are quickly becoming limited for Sunday's event but can still be purchased here.

When: Saturday, 4 to 9 p.m.
Where: Dangerous Man Brewing Company
What: Lulu's Street Food and The Red Pig & Truffle are bringing a whole, smoked pig to DMBC's taproom. $18 gets you all you can eat pig roast, potato salad, BBQ baked beans, corn bread, and much more. When: Saturday, 7 to 10 p.m.
Where: Minnesota History Center
What: This is not your average beer festival. The Rare Beer Fest features rare, vintage and specialty one-off beers from 30 select craft breweries from across the US (including 10 Minnesota). Ticket price gets you admission, unlimited sampling of rare beers, catered food, and live music and they can be purchased here.

When: Sunday, 2 p.m.
Where: Zeke's Unchained Animal
What: Zeke's, Growler Magazine, and many local breweries are teaming up to bring you a special trivia event all about craft beer and craft breweries from around Minnesota. Get your beer savvy friends together and test your knowledge of beer styles, history and the industry while competing head-to-head with other teams for prizes and free beers. lakeandirv2.jpgAlso of Note: Bad Weather Brewing is teaming up with Lake & Irving for the release of Due Date (Thursday, 5 p.m.). Drink beer and raise money at the Minnesota Brewers Ball at TCF Bank Stadium (Friday, 7 p.m.). Do you like beef? Do you also like bourbon? Then get yourself to Beef and Bourbon at Nicollet Island Inn (Thursday, 7 p.m.). This date night at ASI sounds lovely with extended museum hours, local craft beer, and a spring dinner from FIKA (Friday, 5 p.m.). If you find yourself looking for a unique beer dinner, then check out Dinner with Dave at Dave's BrewFarm (Tuesday, 6:30). Need even more Easy & Oskey? There's a spring cocktail tasting event happening at the Black Forest Inn (Wednesday, 7 p.m.). Let's look ahead and get tickets to events that might sell out, shall we? There's a special Chowgirls Locavore Serenade with Dessa (April 6) and then there is the Bradstreet Crafthouse 5-year anniversary party (April 27).
