New restaurant Tongue in Cheek East Side will be coming to St. Paul's East Side in early June, reports Stephanie March at Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. The restaurant comes from Leonard Anderson, formerly the executive chef at both W.A. Frost and the Hanger Room.
The restaurant already has a website up, complete with a sample—slightly blurry—menu. Dishes include: $2 "teasers" like scallop crudo and "burnt feta & sweet pea"; a selection of small plates like risotto "tater tots" ($7) and tuna cones ($10); and entrees like braised pork with asparagus, peach, and cardamom ($17) and a Cobb sandwich ($9). They'll also be offering a 6-course tasting menu for omnivores or herbivores.
