GnomeNom Food Truck App Launches Exclusively in MN

A new food truck tracking application called GnomeNom launched exclusively in the Twin Cities area on Monday. The app partners with food truck owners to help food trucks broadcast their location and help customers keep track of their favorite trucks and discover new ones.

The app is available for iPhone and will be available for Android by the end of the week, co-creator Sachin Isaacs said. Customers can track what time the trucks will be on the streets and get walking directions for "checked-in" trucks by using a GPS feature. They can also post star ratings, much like Yelp, and follow trucks they like, much like following people on Twitter. The app also allows users to search by type of food.

Food trucks can use the app to publish specials, "check in" for easy visibility, and post menus; they can also use the app to publish on both Facebook and Twitter.
