New downtown spot Brasserie Zentral is open and looking awesome. But what about the food? The menu isn't even available yet on the restaurant's website, but we've got it in full—both lunch and dinner—right here, in all its foie-gras-filled glory. That's right, there is some serious foie going on in the dinner menu, plus dishes like corned veal tongue salad and a whole section of housemade pasta, spaetzle, and dumplings.
Read on for a break down and a first look at the full Brasserie Zentral menu.
The lunch menu stays slightly more casual with sandwiches like the open-faced smoked salmon or open-faced smoked prosciutto, a Zentral Burger (of course), a number of salads (including Austrian fried chicken salad and a duck confit & cabbage salad), and some of the same main plates as the dinner menu. Lunch also has one foie gras option: a terrine of foie gras with Tokaji aspic and brioche.
Dinner brings an entire section of the menu devoted to Minnesota-raised foie gras, with five foie gras dishes, including a trio of bite-size foie gras (macaroon, brulée, and torchon), a seared foie gras with rhubarb streusel, and a whole-roasted foie gras that serves 8-10 people. That's not even counting the whole roasted chicken stuffed with foie gras and brioche, listed under plates for two. Plus, a whole roasted halibut tail, stuffed loin of Minnesota rabbit, and paprika cured Spanish mackarel.
