After so very many peeks and previews of Heyday—the new Uptown restaurant/bar from former Union chef Jim Christiansen and former La Belle Vie frontman Lorin Zinter—the finished space is finally opening to the public tonight at 5 p.m.
The 110-seat restaurant is divided into two parts: the dining side (with open kitchen) and the bar side. Both feature lots of reclaimed wood and exposed brick, plus plates from Heath Ceramics, a chandelier made out of silverware, and several pieces by local artist Terence Payne on the walls.
Eater Minneapolis sent photographer Katie Cannon to shoot the new space. Take a tour.
