This morning, upcoming Northeast brewery/taproom Bauhaus Brew Labs launched a Kickstarter campaign to help them build a taproom that will make Bauhaus a "veritable beer lover's ütopia." According to the Kickstarter, the family-run brewery has enough money to build their production side and start brewing beer, but they are hoping to raise $25,000 to "build an unbelievably cool taproom filled with all sorts of über-awesome surprises for everyone." They're also hoping to use the money to build a biergarten on their outdoor patio and a lab for brewing, and may even choose some funder suggestions via the Kickstarter comments.
Also buried within the Kickstarter is some very important burger news: Bauhaus is bringing back Burger Night, a mobile burger dinner turned local burger phenomenon. Burger Night has sadly been on hiatus for some time, but the Bauhaus Kickstarter promises the return of burger-master John Blue, who is also apparently looking into opening a brick n' mortar restaurant.
The $150 pledge level gains entry to the return of Burger Night at Bauhaus (likely in August), plus entry to the Bauhaus Oktoberfest party, and lots of merch. Other pledge levels include a stainless steel growler (plus other merch) for a $65 pledge, entry for two to Molefest (the famed Oaxacan sauce, not the animal) for $100, and a Taproom Takeover (brew your own recipe in the Bauhaus brewery and serve it to your friends in the taproom, plus other rewards) for $2,000.
