Highly-anticipated Brasserie Zentral—the upcoming downtown restaurant from Meritage's Russell and Desta Klein—is now taking reservations for its opening night, Monday, April 21st. A quick perusal of the online reservation system shows that some times are booked, but lots are still available. As of 11:45 a.m. today, there are tables for two at 6 p.m. and earlier and 7:30 p.m. and later (no tables for two between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.); tables for four are also available for 6 p.m. and earlier and 7:30 p.m. and later.
The 150-seat restaurant is the central element of a multi-part downtown takeover that also includes Café Zentral (a skyway spot featuring grab-n-go European street food), Foreign Legion (a street-level wine bar), and a Zentral retail wine shop. According to the restaurant's website, Brasserie Zentral will focus on continental European cuisine, from pasta and spaetzel to dumplings and schnitzel. No menu is available yet.
