The first Minneapolis location of Midwest chain JL Beers will be opening soon in Northeast, reports The Journal. The 21+ burger joint/bar will feature 40 beers on tap, 30 in bottles, and 15 in cans, plus cheap burgers (most are under $5, without fries), fries, and chips. The menu for the Minneapolis location isn't available yet, but the presumably very similar Moorhead one is right here. The NE location will be opening Wednesday, April 23rd at 11 a.m., says the JL Beers NE Minneapolis Facebook Page.
JL Beers started in Fargo, ND in 2009; it currently has five locations in North Dakota, one in Sioux City, SD, and one in Moorhead, MN. According to The Journal, the Northeast location will be housed in the former Minneapolis Fire Department Repair Shop, which was built in 1910 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
