Yesterday, Southwest Minneapolis restaurant The Lynn on Bryant announced that it will be closing in two weeks, reports the Star Tribune. While the restaurant has gotten some glowing write-ups recently for its foie-gras-stuffed burger and its baba rhum, chef and owner Peter Ireland told the Star Tribune that the restaurant wasn't able to attract a wide enough audience.
The restaurant opened in 2012, bolstered by what was then a groundbreaking restaurant Kickstarter campaign, with $34,600 raised by the crowdfunding site, according to Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. Ireland told the Star Tribune that the restaurant will stay open with its regular schedule for the next two weeks, and will then shift into bookings for private events.
