With last week's opening of its brick n' mortar restaurant, Hola Arepa—which launched as a mega-popular food truck in 2011—has completed its arepa takeover of Minneapolis. The space brings to mind a tropical vacation, complete with outside bar and 50-seat patio, plus lots of plants and flowers and oceanic turquoise chairs. Inside, the former El Paraiso interior has gotten a complete overhaul, including polished concrete floors, reupholstered booths, new wall panelings, and tabletops made of, what else, reclaimed barnwood.
Eater Minneapolis sent photographer Katie Cannon to shoot the new space. Take a look.
