SEWARD—The restaurant formerly known as Drunken Fish has opened, instead, as Sober Fish in the space formerly belonging to True Thai on Franklin Ave. The restaurant serves both Thai food (curry, noodle dishes, and more) and Japanese food (sushi, tempura, and more). The full menu and hours are on Sober Fish's website. [EaterWire]

COMOAccording to Heavy Table, Black Coffee and Waffle Bar has been quietly open in the Como neighborhood since late April. Black Coffee and Waffle Bar is a remodel/rebrand of Muddsuckers, the coffee shop that formerly occupied the space; it is owned by the same people, Lisa and Andrew Ply, and serves—what else—coffee (from local roaster Dogwood), housemade waffles (eight kinds, including one savory), and pastries (from Powderhorn bakery The Baker's Wife).
