North Loop restaurant Haute Dish—known for its sophisticated takes on Minnesota classics—will be turning itself into a BBQ pop-up from June 24 to June 26, reports City Pages. According to Haute Dish's Facebook Page, the restaurant will be renaming itself as HauteQue Soul Hut for those three days, changing the entire menu and fully redecorating the restaurant "to recreate the look, feel and cuisine of an authentic Southern BBQ joint right in the heart of Minneapolis."
And there's a special guest kicker: recently returned chef-about-town Erik Anderson (who has garnered a whole lot of attention recently for his fried chicken) will be on hand and contributing a few recipes, and City Pages promises that some kind of fried chicken will be among them (though if it will be the exact same fried chicken winning raves from Anderson's recent pop-up isn't clear). The event is also partly sponsored by Pennsylvania brewery Victory Brewing, so there will be lots of Victory beers on tap.
Reservations are available from the 24th to 26th via the Haute Dish website or by calling the restaurant (612.338.8484). As of 3 p.m. on Friday, there are still lots of reservations left.
