1) Sandcastle Opens for the Season

What: Springtime is upon us when Doug Flicker's Sandcastle opens its doors and reminds you to "eat like a king". The Lake Nokomis favorite is back and serving up beer, wine, and all types of goodies including cheese curds, fish tacos, and new this year soft serve ice cream. 2) Urban Bean Latte Art Throwdown
When: Thursday, 7 p.m.
Where: Urban Bean
What: Tonight, the Lyndale location of Urban Bean is hosting a latte art throwdown. Watch Minneapolis's most skilled baristas as they vie in a latte art competition to win the coveted trophy. 3) Cocktails at the Castle: Swedish House Party
When: Friday, 7 p.m.
Where: American Swedish Institute
What: ASI is hosting another Cocktails at the Castle event by throwing a house party to celebrate Europe Day, the annual celebration of peace and unity. This is a full night of dancing, photo booth fun, outdoor games, and live music. There will be food from FIKA, beer from Indeed Brewing, and cocktails by Far North Spirits. 4) Spring Spread Food Truck Rally
When: Saturday, noon
Where: Harriet Brewing Co
What: The Minnesota Food Truck Association is gathering its truck members to kick-off the season with the Spring Spread Food Truck Rally at Harriet Brewing. Trucks (including Andrew Zimmern Canteen, Hot Indian Foods, Turkey to Go, and many others) will serve up food items along with Harriet beers (including the recently released Sol Bock) at the taproom. 5) The Great American Tailgating Party
When: Tuesday, 5 to 7 p.m.
Where: Askov Finlayson
What: Askov Finlayson invites you to come celebrate the arrival of warm weather in true Minnesota fashion by sipping on some Hamm's beer and nomming on Natedogs quality wieners. Consider this as an option for pre-gaming before the Twins game, putting some cushion in your belly before hitting up Marvel Bar, or just hang out and look pretty in the North Loop with Nate.
