1) Stone Arch Bridge Festival
When: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Northeast Minneapolis Riverfront District
What: The Stone Arch Festival is back and bringing live music, art, and merchandise to the Minneapolis riverfront. The family friendly event will have all sorts of food vendors lined up along the avenue and in the parks for feasting, not to mention the countless restaurants (with patios) along the way. 2) Twin Cities Caffeine Crawl
When: Saturday, 10 a.m.
Where: Peace Coffee
What: If coffee and caffeine is your thing, then hit up the Twin Cities Caffeine Crawl on Saturday. Make stops at a number of local Minneapolis and St. Paul coffee and tea cafes. 3) Northern Spark
When: Saturday, 9:01 p.m.
Where: Various Locations in Minneapolis
What: The late night light-up arts festival is back in Minneapolis this year. Join masses of people in various locations around the city to do all sorts of activities including exploring giant video projections and playing in temporary installations in the streets. 4) Off the Rails Pub Crawl
When: Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Various stops along the Lightrail line
What: To help kick off the opening of the Metro Green Line (connecting the two downtowns), Summit Brewing invites you to participate in a lightrail pub crawl. The open format crawl starts anywhere you want in St. Paul or Minneapolis and meets in the middle at The Dubliner at 10pm. 5) BoneYard Hoedown
When: Saturday and Sunday, noon to 10 p.m.
Where: BoneYard
What: The Uptown BBQ invites you to come down for authentic Southern BBQ, craft beer, and live music from bands and DJs. The two-day festival brings food, music, and more to BoneYard's adjacent parking lot. There will be a Summit beer garden, wine garden, full-bar service, and food including whole hogs, ribs, brats, and tons more. Get your tickets here.
Also of Note: Common Roots now has kegged wine on tap and is holding a sampling during the cafe's happy hour (Sunday, 4 p.m.). Brand new wine bar, Foreign Legion is having a wine dinner (Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.). Fulton is taking over the taps over at Lake & Irving (Thursday 4 p.m.). The German American Institute is having their annual Deutsche Tage with beer, brats, dancing, and tons of events (Saturday and Sunday).
