Yet another new restaurant came to St. Paul's East Side over the weekend: Tongue in Cheek East Side, which opened yesterday afternoon. The menu features a couple different sections, including $2 teasers (braised pork, scallop crudo), share plates (potato gnocchi, beef tartare), entrees (ricotta ravioli, market meat & potatoes), and dessert (Surly Bender brulee). There's also a six-course tasting menu on offer, in the omnivore ($45) or herbivore ($39) varieties. The restaurant comes from Leonard Anderson, formerly the executive chef at both W.A. Frost and the Hanger Room, and is "devoted to using animal products that are raised/caught in a humane & sustainable manner."

Tongue in Cheek is open for dinner Tuesday through Thursday from 4-10 p.m. and Friday/Saturday from 4-11 p.m. It is also open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
