Phone: (651) 698-0100
Website: sweetpeaspub.com
Status: Certified Open
Calling itself "the friendliest pub in St. Paul," Sweet Pea's Public House opened on Snelling on Monday, serving up—what else—pub food, plus 24 mostly local beers on tap. The very friendly restaurant comes from Paul Dzubnar, who is the CEO of Green Mill Restaurants, Inc., which also owns both locations of Crooked Pint Ale House. Dzubnar and his partners are planning on opening several more similar pub-style restaurants this year and next, some with the Crooked Pint name and some with their own name.
Sweet Pea's menu includes "shareables" like jumbo tater tots, pub pot pies, specialty burgers, tacos, and five kinds of Lucys. It is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. (though it sometimes closes at midnight) and Sundays from 11 a.m. to midnight. It also features a bunch of happy hour specials.
