Green + The Grain Truck Taking Organic Fro-Yo & Reclaimed Wood Mobile

Mobile eatery Green + The Grain launched in the Twin Cities on Friday, serving up salads, wraps, and certified organic frozen yogurt. Owners Tifany Hauser and Dustin Naugle partnered with certified organic fro-yo company Cloud Top to offer the truck's one flavor: signature tart.

Customers can combine the one-flavor yogurt with blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, toasted coconut, walnuts, cranberries, granola or mini chocolate chips, but there won't be any Oreos, cookie dough, Snickers, or other candy toppings in sight. Prices for the yogurt range from $4-5.50, depending on size and toppings.

The seasonal menu also offers salads and wraps, like the Cowboy Salad (romaine lettuce with beef tenderloin, shaved sweet corn, black bean pico de gallo, a squeeze of lime, and a corn tortilla strip) and the Berry Natural Salad (spinach with chicken, organic wheat berry, fresh strawberries and blueberries, dried cranberry, diced apple, white onion, local bleu cheese, and toasted walnut).

The truck itself pays homage to its sustainable mission statement with its reclaimed barn-wood exterior. Hauser is no stranger to the restaurant industry. She grew up watching her parents run a Wisconsin restaruant. Before launching the truck, Hauser spent five years working as a food service director for Compass Group North America.

The truck also offers bag-lunch delivery and catering services.
