One of the most hotly anticipated openings of the summer is happening today in Uptown. At 3 p.m., the concept from chef Tim McKee, owned by Parasole will welcome its first official guests. The restaurant replaces Uptown Cafeteria, and the kitchen is primed with chef Steve Hesse leading the charge. Hesse and McKee have worked together previously on successful projects like Masu Sushi & Robata in Northeast and at the Mall of America.

Also on the line in the kitchen is a familiar face to Bravo's Top Chef fans. Sara Johannes competed on season 11 of the show and was last seen inside Shoyu at the airport.

The menu features entrees and sharable plates in sections broken up by protein, plus "swim," "plants," and "not animal." There's also a jalapeno buttermilk fried chicken. Could this finally be the fried chicken Minneapolis has been dreaming of? Most entrees are in the $16 - 24 price range with a sides and vegetarian dishes being closer to $10. See the full menu below.

The beverage program includes a standout cocktail menu, put together by the Minneapolis's own Johnny Michaels, as well as non-alcoholic drinks, wines by the glass and bottle, spirits, and beer on tap and in cans.
